    Hi Everyone,

What are your major pain points in the effort to achieve a zero waste/circular economy?

Thanks for the question! The hardest thing for me is having to essentially change WHERE I shop and thus what I shop for to achieve the zero waste lifestyle. I couldn't feasibly get the same things I get at HEB for example. I think the important thing for me to remember is it is a PROCESS. I can bring my cotton produce bags to HEB instead of using the plastic bags, for example. While I will still inevitably buy my oat milk in a carton and my dog food in a bag, and my precious pint of strawberry vanilla Blue Bell ice cream, I can at least know I made some sort of difference.

Totally agree with Sarah. Being environmentally conscious isn't exactly a black and white/hard and fast rule. I feel the important thing is that it remains a mental priority - and we each strive to move more towards the "green" end of the spectrum. One way I support a circular economy is looking to buy products in reusable, recyclable, or biodegradable materials packaging. Obviously, some products don't offer that as an option, so I avoid purchasing these unless absolutely necessary. Also, avoiding food waste is a major point of emphasis for me. Considering America throws out 150,000 tons of food a day, this should be something that we each strive to minimize.
