I try to reduce the amount of plastic that I use.  For example, when I go to the grocery store I use cloth bags for my produce and always carry bags with me so I don't have to take plastic shopping bags and I recycle plastic containers.

Knowing what we know about plastic --- here's the first question... why are grocery stores and consumer good companies still using copious amounts of plastic?

Great idea. Also, rewards for shoppers for bringing their own canvas bags, for instance, and for purchasing those wonderful mesh veggie bags that I use both to shop and to store those (non-frig) items at home. I think Charles Butt must be onto this topic. Someone should ask he and his team.
